Call for Participation in AER Youth Initiatives

One of AER’s key priority areas for 2009 and beyond is to foster attitudinal and behavioural change towards alcohol and licit substance abuse, to help create healthy, safe communities around Australia. To this end, last week AER announced the establishment of a Youth Committee. The primary aim of the committee will be to engage with young Australians to help them develop a healthy relationship with alcohol. The committee will comprise youth, researchers, experienced trainers and practitioners from the health and social sectors to inform AER policy and initiatives in this critical area.

We would like to invite you to join AER in engaging with Australia’s young people in a number of ways:

I hope you will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to join AER in engaging with Australia’s youth to help change the way we drink and create a safe and healthy community.
