![]() CONTRIBUTE TO AERBy making a donation to the AER Foundation you can help us stop intoxicated workers from harming innocent people like Dave. Dave was a self-employed carpenter with a wife and two children. He had been in the business for over 20 years a before one hot February day in 2003. A lot of the crew working at the Melbourne site came back late from lunch at the pub. Highly intoxicated, a 22 year old form worker lost his balance on the metal scaffolding above Dave. He dropped a 6 x 4 sheet of plywood that nearly broke Dave's back. Unable to work for 14 weeks, Dave struggled to pay his mortgage. His name has been changed but his story is true. We can help to stop stories like Dave's from happening to others. Contributions over $2 are tax deductible, including donations made from ancillary or prescribed funds. The Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation Ltd is listed in the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, sub-section 30-45 (2) 4.2.26. |
